About US

Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM) is the umbrella body of all the Muslim Organizations, Societies, Mosques Committees and Groups in Kenya. The members of the Council are organizations, Societies and groups affiliated to it.

SUPKEM-Garissa office has nine board members elected in 2018, Program staffs, and volunteers that work in different programs under two main themes; Governance and Human right; Peace Building and Conflict Transformation.

SUPKEM-Garissa is faith based organization that mobilizes the citizens against marginalization and proactively engaging governments to respond to the need of the society. And we campaign so that the voices of the poor influence the local and national decisions.

Around the county, SUPKEM Garissa works with community members to find out practical, innovative ways for people to address social injustices that hinder service delivery for the common citizen. In all we do, SUPKEM Garissa works with religious leaders, civic educators and community members to end injustices.
